Youth gather on Fridays from 5.30pm – 7.30pm, they experience safe-space, solace and nourishing engagement over topics such as Core Values, Brain-Health and Habits, Working Through the Automatic Negative Thoughts to name a few.
Young adults aged 20 to 30 face immense pressures, from performance demands and relationship anxiety to worsening mental health issues that often go unnoticed. A relentless drive for achievement and constant productivity fuels emotional burnout, while culturally normalized behaviors like excessive scrolling, working, partying, and socializing-mask deeper struggles. These patterns lead to mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, addictions, and even suicidality, yet stigma prevents many from seeking help. Inspired by conversations with youth mentees in 2023, the idea for a group program was born to empower young adults on their journey of self-discovery and growth.
The Empower Youth Program, launched in February 2024 as I-O-U 2024: Your Journey Inwards, Onwards, and Upwards, is designed to enhance mental health and well-being. Rooted in the same structure as the Empower Teens Program, it is built on four science-backed pillars: Unstructured Outdoor Play, Self-Awareness through Journaling, Breathwork, Mindfulness, and Gratitude Practices, and Theme-Specific Experiential Activities. Together, these pillars nurture, nourish, and rejuvenate the mind.
